The NEW YEAR PRESENT for the video game players! This
Cyber Gadget branded Japanese console can play games from 11 different retro
machines! For the Famicom. SNES. Genesis. PC Engine. TurboGrafx-16. Game Boy.
 Game Boy Advance, etc..
This is the Retro Freak. It’s promising to play games from the Famicom.
SNES. Genesis. PC Engine. TurboGrafx-16. Game Boy. Game Boy Advance. Game
Boy Color. And even the Supergrafx. Holy shit.
It comes in two parts; there’s the actual console, which is a small box
that takes care of all the actual work, then there’s a giant “adapter”
which is where you plug all the cartridges in (the console slides in under
the adapter). The console has various settings that let you change video
(and conversion/upscale) options, as well as built-in cheat support. It
also supports USB controllers, so you can plug just about anything in there.

Most interesting, though, is the fact it’ll let you install games from a
cartridge onto the console (which looks like it’ll let you use a microSD
card).

Currently announced only for Japan, if there is a Video Game God, it is
time to pray to him/her/it, and ask for a Western release (or at least a
semi-affordable import and some language FAQs).

What's in the box for the STANDARD PACK:
Retro Freak Console
Retro Freak Cartridge Adapter
Controller *1
HDMI Cable 1.2m
AC Adaptor

The bizarre, port-imbued device above is known as the Retro Freak. The
Retro Freak is a newly announced retro gaming console in the works from
Japanese company Cyber Gadget, and it plays enough different kinds of games
to make even Hyperkin’s Retron consoles jealous. Here’s the list of
compatible cartridges:

Famicom (NES games should work with a NES-Famicom cartridge adapter)
Super Famicom/SNES
MegaDrive/Genesis
Game Boy
Game Boy Color
Game Boy Advance
PC Engine
Turbo Grafx-16
Supergrafx
The consoles toward the bottom were either never released or just not
terribly successful in the U.S., but this is an impressive line-up none the
less. The system has another feature that will be of interest to gamers:
You can pop an SD card into the device and install games from cartridges.
